1. Joint Ownership (Joint Tenancy)

• Equal Shares: All owners have an equal share in the property.
• Right of Survivorship: When one owner dies, their share automatically transfers to the surviving owner(s). It does not pass to heirs through a will.
• Undivided Ownership: Each owner has equal rights to the entire property, rather than a distinct portion.

2. Owners in Common (Tenants in Common)

• Unequal Shares Allowed: Owners can have different ownership percentages (e.g., one person owns 60%, another owns 40%).
• No Right of Survivorship: When an owner dies, their share is inherited by their heirs or as per their will, rather than automatically transferring to the other owners.
• Divisible Ownership: Each owner can sell, transfer, or will their share independently.
